Marching Band and Color Guard News

JWHS BAND SCHEDULE UPDATES Greetings JWHS Band and Color Guard Students and Parents, I am pleased to be able to send this update to you regarding Marching Band and the JWHS Band End of year activities. While there are some dates still in the works for the events in June, I can update you on the Marching Band schedule. At his weekly press conference on Monday, April 19, Governor Northam announced that all school performance events will be allowed to follow the same numbers for spectators that are allowed for school athletic events. For indoor events we are permitted to have 100 people in attendance. For outdoor events we are allowed to have 500 people present. This is very good news for us in the Music Department here at JWHS as we will be able to present LIVE performances for you to close out this unusual and challenging school year. I have scheduled use of JWHS Kelican Stadium on Monday, May 3, 2021, so that we can present to you the 2021 Spring Field Show. The performance will take place at 6:00 PM. I would like to invite all of you to attend this performance as we will be giving the show just for you. I am not sure how many tickets will be available for the football game on Tuesday, April 27, so this performance will be specific for you, the band family. I want you to be able to see what the students have been working on this Spring. Below is a list of the remaining marching band schedule for this Spring. I will send out updates to this information as schedules are created. Thank you very much for your consideration and understanding.
